We anxiously awaited the Rally trials held at the Lower Mainland Shows October 30th and 31st.
We practised as often as possible here at home when my ankle did not feel too bad. I set up mini courses in the garage and by the time the show rolled around we were ready.
Well, I am happy to say that Harley qualified both days and came away with the Rally Novice title.

Unfortunately we will have a long break now because I am going to have a knee replacement in December. But once I am mobile again we hope to continue training towards the Rally Advanced title.

September, 2009

Although I had trouble walking because of a sore swollen ankle I entered Harley for the Mt. Cheam Rally trial here in Chilliwack on Sunday, September 27.
We were on early in the morning. The course was great and we qualified, the first official leg towards the Rally Novice title.
As soon as we got home I entered two trials at the Lower Mainland shows hoping that we were going to be successful again .

June, 2009

After a second Rally class at TNT we think that we are ready to enter trials.
We had fun at a CARO Match in Abbotsford and did fairly well. A trial in Richmond was entered.
But I could not resist an invitation for a trip to Germany, so classes and trials are on hold for a while.

I had a wonderful time as always. I treated myself to a Condor Comfort class flight, sure beats long flights in Economy!
Harley and Willa stayed with their favourite boarding family. They were glad to see me when I picked them up.

Harley and I are taking Rally Beginners classes at TNT in Abbotsford and thoroughly enjoy it.
There are only 6 dogs in the class, so all of them get a lot of attention. We are doing basic obedience and practicing the rally stations and signs.

Each class ends with a proper Novice course. We have a lot to learn but hope to be ready for trials this summer.

March, 2009

I hope to start training Harley in Rally later on this spring.
For starters we trained for the Canine Good Neighbour certificate and Harley passed the test at the Mt. Cheam Show in Chilliwack March 7, 2009.
He did very well and got a nice crest at the show and a certificate from CKC in the mail.

Finally an update of our website. I just never seemed to get around to it.

Our puppies have all left for their new homes and are all doing well.
The new families send pictures now and again. Go to the 2008 Litter page to see some of them.
