We have puppies!!!
On the 25th of November 2008 Willa and Harley became the proud parents of 1girl and 5 boys.
Mom and babies are doing well.

October,2008

The summer started out great. Although June brought lots of rain July's weather was excellent. The dogs and I took many walks and they had the run of the back yard every afternoon. I set up training jumps for Harley and started working on Obedience and Rally again. Unfortunately that came to an abrupt end when I suffered an ankle injury which makes walking or exercising quite painful. Hopefully I won't need surgery again, I can't wait to pick up the training where we left off in July.
For the time being we have to be content with joining our local Saturday morning dog walking group as often as possible.

June, 2008

In April I finally took another trip to Germany, the first one in 2 1/2 years. I stayed over 3 weeks, having a wonderful time. I took in the Europasieger Show, visited family and friends and spent 4 days with Mario and Bianka Schmidt in Halle. We did a lot of sightseeing in Halle, Dresden and Berlin. The weather was gorgeous, almost too hot, but great for swimming, long evenings with barbecues outside, and drinking lots of cappuccino on cafeteria patios. Being bumped up from Economy to Business Class for the flight home was an extra unexpected bonus. I am already making plans for another trip.

Harley and Willa spent the time I was away at their favourite 'home away from home' with Marion and Stan in the Columbia Valley. They were glad to see me and we are back to our normal routine now.

March, 2008

Finally some news for 2008. Lots happened but I just did not get around to updates.

After two foot surgeries earlier in 2007 and back surgery last December I felt good enough to start Aquafit and Nordic Walking in February to get back in shape after a long time of living with steady pain. The dogs also finally got regular walks again.

In March I entered Harley for a Beginners Obedience course. It was a nice small class with lots of individual attention. We practiced every day and Harley learned the basic commands.

I want to continue with training and hope to be ready for Rally later on this year.
