2005 - ELI LIVES IN OREGON
Eli moved to Oregon after the Portland shows in January.
I had to find a home for him after Pete's unexpected death
when I was forced to sell our house and move into a suite.
I was not even thinking of a show home but as it turned out
his show career is not over yet and Eli is going to be out
at some American shows.
I co-own him with the Kelly family and Tammie Wilcox is his
handler. He is working towards his American title.
Eli ended up receiving the certificate for # 1 in Canada
for 2004 again although he was only shown until July. He had
21 Group placings including 10 Firsts and 2 Seconds and was
#5 in the Non-Sporting Group when his career came to a sudden
end. He was the #1Tibetan Terrier four years in a row.
Eli had to 'start small', from the classes
although he already had many Group 1sts and 3 Best in Shows in Canada. He got
the points quickly but it took quite some time for the majors.
Even from the classes he managed to get a few group placings.
The picture shows Eli with his handler Tammie taking a Group
3rd at the Portland shows under Denny Mounce. |

Eli finished his American Championship at the San Mateo,
CA shows on December 4, 2005.
He is now Multi BIS Am Can Ch Dalghani's Khela Khen.
Joe Tacker, who had already given Eli a Group 2nd and Best
Puppy in Group in Canada when he was still a Junior Puppy,
was the judge.
Although show sparingly Eli placed in the Top 20 for 2005
which came as a complete surprise. |
2006 - ELI MOVES TO WASHINGTON
The Kelly family wanted Eli to move in with Candace and
her family so that she could have another dog for Junior Handling.
She had done very well with different breeds and even qualified
for Westminster with her Papillon Max.
Of course the move was on a trial basis to see if Eli would
fit in and Candace was able to handle keeping a white TT's
coat up. He could go back to the Wilcox family if things did
not work out.
Well, Eli has lived with Candace, her family
and the Papillons since the middle of February and he has
made himself at home. Candace is working hard on the coat
and hopes to have him ready for shows and Juniors this Spring.
I enjoy all the pictures Annette and Candace send - here are
a few of them:

2007
Eli and Candace could be seen on Animal Planet in The Eukanuba Tournament of Champions in Portland, OR January 20, 2007.
They were interviewed by the Chronicle in their home and these huge pictures appeared in the weekend edition.
The accompanying article was excellent.
