About us Memories

I enjoy thinking about those special occasions that are never forgotten, definite highlight of our years with dogs. There are too many to list, I'll share just a few of them.

December 1982

Shang, a 6 month old Tibetan Terrier puppy, arrives in Manitoba from Malishar in Ohio to join our Afghans, Dalmatians and Salukis. He gets us hooked on the breed forever.

Shang loved the cold and the snow, unlike me, who longed to get back to BC.

Shang and Willow, the Afghan in the photo, became best friends.

Shang became an Am and Can Champion, got his CD in Obedience and was #1 TT in Canada for 3 years.

Jonah finishes both his American and Canadian CD Obedience title after many hours of training wich we both thoroughly enjoyed.

He also became a conformation champion in both countries.

And Jonah was the #1 Tibetan Terrier in Canada for three years in a row.

Not bad for the puppy we kept out of our very first Tibetan litter.

Marbles (co-owned woth Ron and Margy Pankiewicz) wins all three Best in Show awards in Grande Prairie, AB. It took 27 years to get a Best in Show, who could have dreamed of getting three in one weekend!

Marbles wins 2 Groups and the Group 6 Specialty at Lower Mainland DF, the largest show in Canada.

Pete and I flew to Germany for the World show and the Tibet Europe show. What a thrill to see our Nike (Ch. Dalghani's Ma Ni Kar Lo) from Italy take the World Junior Winner title.
Another highlight was a get together after the KTR Specialty at Anke Peine's house where we were able to spend time with our Mona from Finland.

Summer Highlights

Every summer we spent most weekends away at shows in the trailer taking all the dogs with us. We had a custom made enclosure for our awning which left lots of room for x-pens, grooming and getting together with friends.

Our last show weekend away in the trailer was one month before Pete died. I wish those memorable summer shows would not have come to a sudden end.
